I now feel the time has come to take the next step in my journey and start my own practice where I will continue to utilise the skills and knowledge I have gained over my career and the level of personal service for which I have become renowned. In 2016 I was delighted to be recognised by my peers when I was shortlisted for practitioner of the year at the British Accountancy Awards and more latterly I have continued to develop my personal skills and knowledge through undertaking continuous development including a unique opportunity to attend Harvard Business School.
As managing partner at the Ashby office, I gained invaluable exposure to a more “hands-on” approach to accountancy working with a broad spectrum of businesses of all sizes. In 2008 I moved to a growing firm, Baldwin’s. Following last weeks column by NHS Digitals director of implementation on closing the gender gap in tech, Lisa Emery, CIO of West Hertfordshire Hospitals. I spent the first decade of my career with BDO, gaining invaluable experience within a “Big Six” environment. Ever since embarking on my accountancy journey in 1998 I have striven to provide a personalised, client-focused service to every individual and business I have had the pleasure of working with.
